Re: What Adrenal Fatigue Really Is - General Adaptation S... by wiredgeneration 11 y
Interesting, but clearly made by someone who hasn’t had AF/GAS. There are a lot of videos of that sort on youtube. This is why I prefer information from Lam, Wilson, Dr Myhill etc, as they have all had AF/GAS and recovered with their own methods, and they are real doctors. I have yet to meet or talk to ANYONE who had late stage AF/GAS and recovered with a metabolic profiling/high carb diet. It is literally impossible due to the way the endocrine system works.Enjoy your way CB but no need to keep shouting about it on every thread, you wonder why people think you are Natway? :) 7,068 hits

Man you should try then Isocort or something (licorice root its estrogenic!) But I have to warn you, taking cortisol or something that mimmics/stimulates corticosteroids its FAR away from ”fixing” adrenal fatigue. And I still think DHEA has more to do with libido than cortisol, and if you have low cortisol, you will have low DHEA.The basic things to actually fix adrenal fatigue are in the protocol of Wilson, the one that wrote a book. None of the things you listed cure adrenal fatigue and some make it worse. And following the Wilson or even the NB protocol for AF will only heal it if y ... 2,838 hits

My experience with AF is I’ve been put on Adrenevive(ashwagandha/rhodiola/l theanine/siberian(NOT Korean)ginseng/skullcap) complex by Bodylogic MD. She read my cortisol saliva test as AF(coupled w/ my symptoms & saliva tested hormones) I had an immediate reaction to Adrenevive. It lasted minutes to an hr, maybe. After that 1st day, no reactions. But I take it twice a day, at aprx 8-9 mos, I felt markedly better, stronger. AF is long to treat. 6 mos to 2 yrs, I have read Lam & Wilson. 1,930 hits

You say that the stuff that you are intolerant to are the evil....but then say that carbs are not the evil. That’s a contradiction since carbs would feed any potential parasites and candida that one with AF could have...so eating a high carb diet would actually keep the leaky gut and inflammation going. It’s important to starve the culprit and eliminate it out of your intestinal tract. Only then can the inflammation subside and stress on the body relieved. Ok. So I am starting NB. I am wondering something fundamental. Please help. Can NB actually help someone with severe AF? Most of the supplements that I was recommended tend to lower cortisol. How would this even remotely help severe AF? Also, when it’s severe, people tend to have tolerance issues. How would taking 7-9 bottles of pills even be feasible? Hi, Aerose!I just recently made this connection too.I’ve been withdrawing from xanax for a year now and every time I reduce it it would trigger severe crashes.I believe AF and benzo withdrawal are parts of the same mechanism. They both involve the HPA axis and what happens is that benzo WD acts like stimulant on the adrenal glands causing crashes.Benzo drugs can very well be the only cause of someone’s AF in my opinion. And they will never allow a recovery process to even start because they constantly trigger the fight or flight response. It’s a nightmare actually.I know ... 10,822 hits

Hi There,It sounds like you may not have recovered from AF either due to following an ineffective protocol, or some of the causative factors were not adequately addressed. HAve you assessed your AF, is it mild, moderate or severe? When you complete Dr. Wilson’s AF Questionnaire, you will be able to determine which direction your AF is heading, if your were bad but improving, or if you were not that bad but are getting worse. If you have no way to ”test and measure” the effectiveness of your protocol, you essentially have no road map.You still have candida by the sounds of it. Recta ... 1,227 hits

Re: Quick Question For You Guys by ericbakker

12 y
Yes, there are. Many AF patients I see have no signs or symptoms of jaw clicking or popping or TMJ. I’ve found it to be very commonly associated with nervous tension, anxiety and stress more so than with anything else, whether it be candida, AF, whatever. Not all folks with TMJ have AF, but a lot do. Stress and especially emotional tension commonly creates tension around the mouth, jaw and facial muscles, and is probably one of the most common cause (of all) when it comes to tension headaches. And tension headaches account easily for 80% of all headaches I’ve seen in the clinic. 2,153 hits

Yes! But mental stress and psychological issues can have mineral/chemical underpinnings which NB and diet can address. Things like copper toxicity, mercury toxicity, fast oxidation, high/low histamine, candida, etc. can all directly impact the brain and one’s fight/flight response. Psychology can create AF, or another issue can impact psychology which creates AF, which then can further deteriorate the body leading to more imbalances leading to further imbalances.Your right!
